The Best Day of the Year

Some people like Christmas... some people like Easter.... some like birthdays. Those are all great....but nothing compares to the day you set the clocks ahead. The funny thing is that some might put it on their least-favorite-days list. Not me. Because for the last few months, I've been waking up with my boys at 5:30 in the morning. I've tried everything. I give them clocks and tell them not to get out of bed until 6. But they do anyway. I send them back to bed when they get up, but they come back in, five minutes later, asking if they can get up again! But this Sunday, all that will change. I will finally be able to sleep in until 6:30!!! I've been anxiously awaiting this day for weeks now, and it's finally coming!

And did you know that in 2005, congress passed a bill that in 2007, daylight saving would start earlier in the year & end later in the year? That mean that my days of sleeping late will last even longer! hooray!

Maybe that is how you have so much time to write a blog and take pictures and read books. I am just amazed at how much you get done! I say get up early and keep us all entertained. (: JUst kidding I know how much a bit more sleep is wonderful!

I'm with you! Today it just felt like Spring had officially sprung! The air seems more romantic on Daylight Savings Days. It reminds me of the New Year when you feel like a clean slate has been given you for the year ahead.

I'm glad you'll be getting an extra sleep-in -- don't tell them it's Daylight Savings! I try not to tell my kids so they don't adjust it in their minds, LOL

Thanks, Dawn. I'll be sure to continue waking up til 5:30, just to entertain you. :) --actually, the blog doesn't take all that much time. And it's worth it, cuz it's my creative outlet. :)

I know what you mean, Krista. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! :)

Oh My GOSH! I never tell my kids it's Day light saving time. They freak out about things they don't understand. --but someone *did* tell them. --Chris & i went on a date saturday, & when we got back, the kids were crying & saying they were mad at us because of daylight saving... ?? Apparently they thought were were going to be making them stay in bed longer every day. :)

That is TOOOOOO funny! Your kids are great!

Oh, and it was fun meeting you too at my favorite Chinese hang out. You got the royal room as we call it. My kids LOVE the gigantic lazy susan!
Oh and I love your hair :) You need to update your picture perhaps - cute either way though! Maybe we'll see you at Park Day tomorrow.

:)

I don't have the greatest memory!
