Where the heck is Vale, California!?

okay... i just got off the phone w/Amazon. They hunted my book down, & told me that it's in Vale, California, and that I could expect it by Wednesday or Thursday!! WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY!? I made it clear to the LAST guy I spoke with over a week ago, that I needed it BEFORE the 18th! so the guy I spoke to today, said, "let's be positive, and hope that it get's there by wednesday." POSITIVE!? what??? I very nicely informed him that being positive wouldn't help me read four chapters with no book, & let him know that I wouldn't be counting on Amazon for anything of importance anymore... *sigh*

Now i'm off to call Borders in hopes that they'll have my book in stock.
