markers. both times. Chloe asked if she could use the markers, so i said yes, as long as she promised to keep them put away & make sure Evelyn didn't get into them. That's what i get for trusting a 6 year-old. So sad for chloe. no moare markers. :(
yeah, i used to pride myself in how much "creative stuff" i had around the house for Josh to invent/create things with. i had a plastic file cabinet full of art materials/supplies for Josh to get into anytime he wanted and create to his hearts desire. then Nicholas started crawling. need i say more? :)
Ah, and this is why they invented Crayola Color Wonders! Will only color on Color Wonder paper! Also, the magic eraser's pretty nice for cleaning up other surfaces other than body parts. (Color Wonder does get $$, obviously). I used to strap Rebekah in to her booster seat at the table, and then give her markers and a coloring book, and she would sit there FOREVER and my house was safe! :)
Heather, I was the same way with Caleb. We had a box of string, noodles, glue, markers etc. and he loved it. Then Ashlyn came along and, well, the box had to be put up. It came back down about a year ago and they had a blast coming up with stuff to do with it till we ran out of everything. Need to get more stuff I think.
Ruth, my kids never liked the Color Wonder stuff. Evidently they are part of the "instant satisfaction" generation because the 2 seconds it takes for the color to appear annoyed them...(imagine your favorite rolleye smilie here)
Well, she wouldn't have much of a childhood if she didn't make messes, now would she? Hope they were washable! BTW- I used to put the Prince in a high chair or booster with the rinse off markers. They were awesome! Just rinse and it's gone.
